無殼孵化小雞 21天全紀錄見證生命起源
大陸第一隻「無殼孵化」的小雞，歷經生物學家21天的悉心看顧，從形成胚胎、長出心臟、到最後變成雛雞，21天的紀錄，見證生命誕生的全過程。
俗話說蛋生雞，指的是雞是破殼而生，不過大陸的生物學家，要嘗試在沒有蛋殼的情況下，也能成功孵化小雞。
節目主持人路倫一：「無殼孵化這可能嗎？這個蛋殼我覺得對於小雞來說，孵化過程中非常重要吧！」
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「對！它一個是抑菌保護、鈣質的補充、通氧的透氣性。」
節目主持人路倫一：「這就是他的家啊！」
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「就跟胎兒離開母體的保護一樣，難度比較大，國內還沒有成功的例子。」
中國農業大學教師芮磊：「下面就開始最重要的一個課程了，給小雞搬家，先在這個種蛋的正下方，用手指甲頂著扎出一個洞來，然後我們沿著這個洞，沿著這個種蛋的赤道部，給它剪開一定的區域。」
關鍵的步驟，是要去除蛋殼，雖然手法就像平時打蛋一樣，卻要保持蛋黃的完整性。
節目主持人撒貝寧：「哎呀！壞了！」
中國農業大學教師芮磊：「我們最開始做這個實驗的時候...。」
節目主持人撒貝寧：「也是很多次的失敗。」
中國農業大學教師芮磊：「兩升的燒杯。」
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「因為碰一點的話，後期它都會生長不良，我們把它移到移到這個塑料杯上面，您看下方看著是不是像雞蛋的尖端。」
保持種蛋的完整性，才能提高成功率，在完成去殼之後，還要用橡皮筋固定住，並且在保鮮膜上方刺出10到12個氣孔，再蓋上密封蓋，第一階段的工作到此結束，接下來就要把任務交給孵化器。
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「這個白點就是小雞的胚盤。」
節目主持人：「生命開始的地方(在這裡)，那應該就是所謂的細胞核了吧！(這是什麼)脊椎。」
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「這是心臟，大家看到的小白點，也就是胚盤發育出來的。」
在無殼孵化的第3天，可以觀察到蛋黃上的血管開始延伸，心臟也在努力的跳動著。
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「這個黑點是小雞的眼睛。」
節目主持人：「所以頭部先形成了！」
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「這個圓圓的東西叫做尿囊，它的生長會伴隨小雞胚胎發育的整個過程，它會為小雞的健康發育提供幫助。」
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「其實現在小雞正面臨著一個發育難關，就是由蛋黃呼吸向尿囊呼吸轉換。」
隨著日子一天一天過去，孵化中的小雞胚胎對於發育環境要求非常嚴格，尤其是溫度和濕度，如果溫度忽上忽下，會導致小雞發育不良，濕度同樣至關重要，如果濕度過高就會影響胚胎的正常呼吸，要是濕度太低，胚胎會有沾黏在蛋殼上的危險。
孵化的第12天，尿囊膜幾乎包覆整個胚胎，這個過程需要不斷變換蛋的方向，但因為是無殼孵化，所以採取人工手動轉蛋的方式，防止薄膜和血管發生沾黏的情況。
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「現在小雞開始長出眼瞼了，幾乎所有的生命，都是先長出眼球再長出眼瞼的。」
孵化過程一切順利，幼雛的型態也慢慢具體化，像是長出了羽毛、逐漸成形的雞爪、還有翅膀。
中國農業大學生物學教授李贊東：「17天到18天，小雞需要更多的氧氣，要進行額外的輸氧，現在才是最危險的階段，最後出雛的這個階段，尿囊膜上的血管迅速退化，19天到20天的時候，小雞的喙已經露在尿囊膜的外邊，開始啟動肺呼吸，這一階段非常的關鍵，就是正常種蛋裡發育的小雞，在這一段時間也有一定的死亡率，它的呼吸起伏也比較規律，而且肺呼吸已經發育得比較完善了，它已經做好了要出來的準備了，讓我們為它加油吧！」
歷經21天，在生物學家的精心照料下，大陸第一隻無殼孵化的小雞成功誕生，也讓觀眾親眼目睹生命起源的美好與感動，對了！這隻小雞因為是在茶缸裡誕生的，所以被網友取名小茶缸。
